The students read the sentence which gives a clue to the CVC word to look for in the mini word search strip. The strips contain two CVC words, but only one is correct. For example: This animal barks. He/She then looks for the word in the strip and colour or shade in the word. You have the option of cutting out the strips and selecting those you feel are suitable for your students and sticking them into workbooks or the students can complete the worksheets. <strong>Find and Write Carousel Activity</strong> The students are up and moving in this activity. This product is a set of 70 task cards adding up Canadian money up to the value of $5.00. Each card shows a combination of coins up to a particular value which students add up and write the total in the space provided. <strong>Content</strong> • 70 Task cards • Answer Keys • Recording Task Card Sheet • Blank task cards • All six coins - (1 Penny coin used for teaching purposes only - Task Cards 1 to 7 ) • Flags <strong>Write and erase</strong> You can print onto cardstock, laminate and cut out the cards for students to practise adding up coin values. Ideal for early finishers and for those students who need more practice in adding up coins. <strong>Print off, cut out and glue into workbooks</strong> You may wish to record students’ work and so this resource is great for cutting out and sticking into workbooks or onto plain paper. Pupils do not have to work through the task cards in number order. Whatever ability the student is at, you can choose the appropriate task card. There is a Recording Sheet with space for the student’s name and date for when each activity card was completed. <strong>Alternative uses</strong> I have included blank card and coins which you can prepare to suit the needs of your students. E.g. Write the amount of money on the right-hand side of the card and then students cut out the coins to match the amount of money you have written down. Students can cut out the little flags and stick on the blank task cards. <strong>For small group or one-to-one activity</strong> Lay out cards that have the same value but different combinations of coins. Ask students to match the cards that add up the same amount and elicit what coins were used on each card. E.g.
